SURROUNDINGS VIAREGGIO TUSCANY
Viareggio is internationally known as a beach resort at the Ligurgian Sea. The grand hotels and cafes are characterised by their Art Nouveau architecture and the port is an exhibition of expensive yachts.
In this beloved and child friendly beach resort the beach life is very pleasant. Because of the wide sandy beaches, cool breeze and cosy beach bars. Between the centre of Viareggio and Lido di Camaiore there is a three kilometer long boulevard.
With shops of well-known clothing brands, comfy terraces and the famous Italian ice cream parlours.
The shops are opened till late in the evening.

Pisa is obviously known for its famous leaning tower at the glorious Piazza dei Miracolio. But Pisa also has one of the largest universities of Italy and therefore it is a lively student town.

A bit north of Viareggio you will find Cinque Terre. It consists of five uniquely situated picturesque villages which can only be visited by train or by boat. Via dell’Amore, a beautiful hiking trail, connects the villages.
In the surroundings of Pisa you will find the amusement park Piccole Mondo, built by the Fornaciai family. This family has a long experience in setting up amusement rides for children. They are proud to have the highest slide of Tuscany.
But there are many more amusement parks in the neighbourhood. For example the Pinocchio Park in Collody and the prehistoric park in Peccioli or the Zoo in Pistoia.
